Just got back from my first-ever vacation in Greec

Just got back from my first-ever vacation in Greece, and wow, what an experience!💙 This trip was a big deal for me-I flew on a plane for the first time in my thirties, and I was definitely nervous. 😅 Not just about flying, but how I’d manage getting on the plane as a disabled person. Stairs and I aren’t exactly friends. 🙈

Thankfully, my amazing sister called ahead to ensure everything was ready. The airport crew wheeled me right up to the plane, and everything went so smoothly. I even managed to keep my cool (though I did briefly lose my husband 😂). In Greece, they had an ambulift ready for me, making it easy to get off the plane.

For my first vacation, I wanted total resort vibes, so we saved up and stayed at @mitsisrinela in Crete. Best decision ever! We booked through a travel agency, and the all-inclusive deal made it a breeze. Seven days of pure relaxation: swimming in the Mediterranean and the pool, sipping cocktails 🍹, soaking up the sun, eating amazing food, and enjoying all the ice cream 🍦 (no regrets!). The staff was incredibly kind too.

From a disabled traveler’s perspective, the resort was super accommodating. We stayed in a Superior Double Sea View room customized for mobility needs, and it was perfect. There were ramps throughout the resort, though getting around felt a bit like a maze. 🌀 It was a bit of a workout, but I didn’t mind! However, if you have mobility challenges, it’s good to keep that in mind. As for Crete, it was beautiful! Coming from Estonia, seeing real mountains was breathtaking. But accessibility? Let’s just say Crete’s hills and I weren’t on the best terms. 😅 We did one road trip, but I mostly stayed at the resort and honestly, I didn’t mind at all. I got to relax with my husband, my sister, and her boyfriend, and we had the best time together. 💛

All in all, it was such an amazing getaway. Lots of sun, swimming, and quality time with my husband. Plus, I had time to reflect on life and some big decisions. The flight back was smooth too, though Estonia greeted me with a cold as soon as we landed. 😅 But hey, I’m home, reunited with my cat, and my heart is full. 💛

I’m super excited because I’ve never been on a tropical trip before. But also… terrified because I’ve also never been on a plane. So, yay for firsts? 😬 Pretty sure I’ll be panicking and maybe crying (a lot), but hopefully my husband and sister won't mind my freak-outs too much. It's been forever since I last played Sims... But I've been missing it. For years, Sims felt like my job (because it kind of was), and I ended up losing that spark. 🙈 I don’t think I’ll ever be getting back into creating custom content though, and honestly, I don't miss that part at all. 👻

So for now, I'm just playing for fun, mostly for me, but also a little bit for you, too. 😊Because I had a lot of fun making this cute little autumnal Sims video. I'm not even gonna tell you how long it took though (let's just say... hours, maybe even a whole day 😅), but I loved every moment of it! From creating the Sim, building and decorating the house, messing with lighting, and shooing away those annoying NPCs. 😁

Lately, I’ve noticed my mind replaying some of those old, familiar stories, like "I’m not good enough," "other people are doing it way better," "ugh, you're so cringe," "what will they think?" or "why even bother?" It’s kind of frustrating because I thought I was doing better! I hadn’t had these thoughts in a while, and I was starting to think… am I healed? But, as life does, it teaches you lessons. Healing isn’t a straight line, and honestly, I’m realizing that you never really reach a point where you’re totally “healed.” That’s just life. It’s about balance... good and bad, light and dark, yin and yang.

There are going to be good days, and there are going to be tough ones, and it’s okay to fully feel those bad days. Cry if you need to, really sit with it, and then let it pass. Don’t let that darkness settle in, let it move through you so the light can find its way back. I don't have all the answers, I'm learning my life lessons as I go and right now, I think my lesson is a simple one: there will always be good days and bad days, and both are important. Both are valid. Just keep on swimming and tell those voices in your head to kindly, f off! 😊
